A grain bin silo is only as good as what it's sitting on. If the base shifts, settles unevenly, or cracks under load, you've got a real problem - one that costs a lot more to fix after the fact than to do right the first time.

We poured a full concrete pad and interior floor for this grain bin setup on a working rural property. The pad wraps cleanly around the base of the corrugated steel ring, with a flat approach section extending out to give easy access for equipment. Everything was finished smooth and level - ready to handle the weight and the wear that comes with daily farm use.

This is the kind of concrete work that doesn't get a lot of attention, but it matters more than most people realize. A properly poured pad keeps the silo structurally sound, protects the bottom of the bin from ground moisture, and makes the surrounding area easier to work in. It's functional from day one and built to stay that way.

We do this type of work for farms, ranches, and rural properties all the time. Whether it's a silo base, a driveway, a utility pad, or an outbuilding foundation - the approach is the same. Get the prep right, pour it properly, and finish it clean. No shortcuts.

Agricultural concrete jobs like this one are a big part of what we do at Broken Horse Construction. If you've got a project on your property that needs a solid start, we're the crew to call.
