A good patio doesn't start with concrete - it starts with everything that goes underneath it. Before a single yard of mix gets poured, the groundwork has to be done right. That means proper grading, a compacted base, and reinforcement that keeps the slab from shifting or cracking down the road.
Here's what we were working with on this one. The area was framed out with lumber forms to establish clean, square edges. Wire mesh reinforcement was laid across the entire footprint, and footing work was tied in along the structure to make sure the slab connects properly to the build. That's not a step you skip if you want a patio that actually lasts.
The finished slab speaks for itself. Smooth, even surface with clean control joints cut in the right spots to manage any natural movement in the concrete. No waves, no low spots, no sloppy edges. Just a solid, well-executed pour that's built to hold up for years.
This is the kind of work that matters most when you're adding something permanent to your home. Whether it's a patio slab, a driveway, or a concrete pad for a new addition - the prep work and the pour quality determine everything about how it performs long-term. We take both seriously on every single job.
